Careless is not Heartless

I posted something on FB last night and when I woke up this morning, I had a new thought that God put on my mind:

FB Post:
CARELESSNESS: Being careless with children could land them in the homes and hands of a child molester. WAKE UP PARENTS! GRANDPARENTS! VILLAGES!

New Thought:
Careless is not Heartless.

This thought came to me because I began to think of many of the personal stories of sexual abuse I have been told about. And, regrettably, they don't all happen because someone is careless. (Careless to investigate the places their children are going, the people they are going with, or to ask their child if appropriate behavior goes on between friends, to ask if manners and morals are held in high regard at school by everyone, etc...)

Sadly, there are child molesters that are fathers, stepfathers, brothers, stepbrothers, uncles, cousins or neighbors and we would never expect in a normal civilized world that these people would be harming the children we are all supposed to love because we are part of a family. Right?

Then in the depraved part of this already sickening world...there are families where the mother knows, but chooses to ALLOW her child to be abused. This mother turns her back on her child and would rather be comfortable with a place to stay and food on her table than to protect the very child God has given her. This is not careless...This is heartless. Certainly a heart that is not right, but rather corrupt, cold, black or dead.

Let's pray about new ways to be alert and aware of our surroundings and the surroundings of our precious children. We are in a battle that has begun in the darkness. That is where the devil does his best work. So, as we bring things into the light...me and you; God will be faithful to reveal truth to us and give us a deeper awareness too.

Bless you and your sweet cherubs!

Humbly and unto HIM,
Valerie

What if I had told?

In my personal journey, I have found out that one of my perpetrators defiled someone else I knew who was much younger than I. And, the question looms in my heart..."WHAT IF I HAD TOLD?" What if I had been taught that I was free to tell? What if I had been taught that my body was sacred and set aside as precious?

I am not sure the outcome would be different, but I am willing to walk through this process of exposing what has been kept in the dark. Isn't it worth finding out? Don't we want to know what will happen when we are willing to expose depravity? I pray the answer is YES!

It is time to reveal those unassuming people that the enemy uses to destroy and devastate innocent lives.

Join me in praying for voices to rise and voice boxes to open and courage to pour out of those who have been harmed for the sake of those who need to be saved from the pedophile lurking and scheming...they are visible and among us, yet their plans are hidden from us.

Know that their sights are already set on a child and their insatiable hunger for more depravity is building. So, expose them and draw attention to who they are. Save your daughters, nieces, granddaughters, cousins, sisters, neighbors, etc.

Do not be afraid!

Fearlessly yours,
Valerie
